    I would add that if the activists are not thrown out of the organization, they become toxic to the remainder of the members/customers. The organization changes from their original mission and for the worse resulting in the good and positive patrons leaving. This then creates a continual spiral of activism within the organization. It can leave the organization stagnant at best and self-destructive at worst.
