If most jobs get in the way of our families, then what would be a better way? I’m guessing it would be any trade you could start a business in, that has a large half-life for when it’ll become outdated, be low capital required, and can be taught to your children. I’m thinking plumbing, electrician, HVAC. Or am I missing the mark?

I like all of these ideas you put forth here. Farming, lots of home based businesses. Machining, fab, etc.
